Edinburgh Council has appointed The Sports Consultancy, Deloitte Real Estate and Edinburgh based architects Reiach and Hall, to complete an options appraisal study, including stakeholder engagement, in relation to options for the redevelopment of sports facilities at Meadowbank Sports Centre and Stadium. The facilities at Meadowbank were built in the late 196os to host the 1970 Commonwealth Games. The facilities are now more than 40 years old and require significant upgrade or replacement. The Sports Consultancy will complete a detailed financial appraisal of the options for redevelopment to provide the Council with robust evidence to support decision making.
