THE BRIEF
To carry out a comprehensive impact analysis of the World Athletics Championships and World Para-athletics Championships on behalf of UK Sport and the Mayor of London.
OUR ROLE
To design and deliver a wide ranging impact study that captured direct and indirect economic impact, national and international media reach and value, social impact including new skills development, participation uplift and community engagement, home advantage impact and environmental impact of both championships.
THE RESULT
Following extensive qualitative and quantitative research drawn from over 1,600 spectator interactions and interviews with over 130 event stakeholders and delivery partners, we delivered a comprehensive and broad ranging assessment of the impact London 2017 delivered, as well as learnings for the future delivery of major and mega events in the city.
