Olympic legend Michael Johnson and Rugby World Cup winning coach Sir Clive Woodward took to the Nolan Partners Sports Industry Breakfast Club stage this morning and here are 5 things I learned from them: 1. To perform at the highest level you have to know not only what you need to do, but also why you need to do it. 2. Set your own goals. You don’t have to aim for Olympic Gold but aim to stretch yourself. 3. Talent is not enough. You have to keep listening and learning. 4. You can’t be the best at what you do unless you like what you do. 5. For a team to be the best, the individuals in that team need to be the best. The teamwork will follow.
