The Sports Consultancy has completed a detailed business plan for the redevelopment of Batchwood Tennis Centre in St Albans. The business plan was developed for St Albans City and District Council as an integral part of the project to replace the existing facilities that were destroyed by fire in 2011.
The new centre is part of an ambitious, district-wide, strategy of sports facility improvements. It will result in the development of a state of the art sports centre which will include 6 indoor tennis courts (LTA regional performance centre) 3 outdoor tennis courts, 2 squash courts a health and fitness studio and a purpose built martial arts dojo/combat room.
The business planning work forms a key element of a funding application to Sport England under the Iconic Facilities funding programme. The application is supported by the LTA and British Judo.
