Ireland is considering a bid for the 2023 Rugby World Cup, the country’s sports minister Leo Varadkar has confirmed. The bid would see matches played across the Republic and Northern Ireland and at both rugby union and GAA venues. Ireland has been considering the bid for over a year, looking to replicate the successful 2011 New Zealand event.
