More sports could be introduced to the programme for the SportAccord World Combat Games at the next edition of the event, which is planned for 2015, it was revealed today by Marius Vizer.
Vizer, President of both SportAccord and the International Judo Federation, is already in discussions to add more disciplines to the programme for the next Games, which he hopes will be staged on a biannual basis in the future.
There are 15 sports taking part in these Games, up from 13 the last time they were staged at Beijing in 2010 with the addition here of fencing and savate, a traditional French martial art which uses the hands and feet as weapons combining elements of western boxing with kicking techniques.
