We operate on both sides of the relationship, working with rightsholders and brands.

Your Role 

As a Commercial rights lead in our Partnerships team, you will be responsible for helping to broker partnerships for a range of our clients, this role will include: 

Primary focus – Brokering Partnership Deals 

  • Intelligent targeting of potential partners for our clients. 
  • Proactively developing new leads, to establish and develop a pipeline of partnership opportunities for our rights holder clients. 
  • Completing prospecting and outreach to potential brands to gauge interest in partnership opportunities. 
  • Engaging directly with brands across key industry sectors to understand their objectives and consultatively sell our rights opportunities. 
  • Managing of sales cycle from research to initial outreach, pitching and closing. 
  • Conducting research on sponsorship trends, categories, companies, and contacts to support sales activity. 
  • Conducting meetings and pitch partnership opportunities to brands on behalf of our clients – with the support of senior TSC management. 
  • Leadership, management and coaching of the sales team. 
  • Ensure company and department targets are met. 
  • Introducing and managing new relationships into the business in collaboration with internal / external stakeholders. 
  • Assisting with the commercial negotiation and sale of hosting rights, where required 
  • Dealing with data and other suppliers 
  • Using our CRM and project management tools to drive internal and client reporting 

Additional areas of focus: 

  • Consulting on a range of projects across other departments and services. Including but not limited to the rights holder consulting, rights marketing, brand partnerships and sponsorship consulting divisions. 
  • Assisting with the ongoing innovation and development of our rights sales optimisation, valuation, prospecting and sales 
  • Developing strong relationships across internal teams to drive collaboration and company growth. 
  • Being a client-facing role, working within a wider Consulting team of Analysts, Consultants, Senior Consultants and Associate Directors. 
  • Working with the team to design and produce high quality deliverables to reflect and exceed client needs. 
  • Taking direct day-to-day responsibility for project managing engagements and managing peer level client relationships, ensuring projects are delivered on time and in scope. 
  • Thinking creatively and innovatively to present information to clients and potential partners in an accessible manner. 
  • Using an evidenced based approach to deliver a succinct argument to clients. 
  • Comfortable presenting information in person and facilitating client discussion. 
  • Managing junior team members (Sales Manager’s, Analysts and Interns) and providing clear feedback to improve and enhance their work, including proactive coaching and mentoring. 
  • Contributing to the wider business and practice development objectives of the firm.

Your skills and experience 

  • Proven experience in a sales/business development role. Ideally within the sports industry but other industries will be considered. 
  • Experience of brokering sponsorship deals. 
  • A very strong understanding of sponsorship and why brands invest in sports sponsorship. 
  • Experience in engaging prospects and delivering sales meetings. 
  • Ability to build sales presentations and deliver them confidently. 
  • A track record of hitting sales targets. 
  • Confident communicator. 
  • Understanding of the sports industry, trends and opportunities. 
  • Ability to deliver an argument in a clear and compelling manner. 
  • Produces high quality deliverables that are well structured, insight-led, robust and accurate. 
  • Ability to think creatively about client problems. 
  • Demonstrable client-facing experience and ability to develop strong relationships with clients. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including report-writing, presentations and workshop facilitation. 
  • Excellent working knowledge of core MS Office software (including PowerPoint and Excel). 
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Whilst this role is based in our London office, we have clients across the globe and some travel is required.
