Andy is a sports marketing lawyer with over twenty years’ experience in the industry.  Specializing predominantly in sponsorship agreements, he is equally comfortable advising brands or rights holders.  He has advised the likes of Carlsberg, Nike, Nationwide, npower, Aviva, Aegon and Gillette on sponsorship matters and has drafted and negotiated sports marketing contracts for rights owners such as FIFA, UEFA, Rugby World Cup, British & Irish Lions, Six Nations Rugby, the English Football League, Cricket West Indies, Ascot Racecourse, the International Tennis Federation, Intenazionale di Milano, AS Roma and numerous sports clubs and celebrities.  He also acts as a consultant for sponsorship clients, advising on the structuring of commercial programmes and refining rights packages.  Andy lectures regularly on sports marketing topics at a number of universities and at industry events.  He supports Everton.

Andy Korman, Head of Legal
Andy has been a specialist sports marketing lawyer for thirty years and is recognised by independent directories as a leader in his field.  Educated at Oxford University and trained in the City, Andy joined The Sports Consultancy in 2017 and heads up its legal arm, TSC Legal. He has pioneered legal consulting services in sport, combining a thorough knowledge of industry best practice with bespoke legal advice. He specialises in commercial sports work: event creation and hosting, commercial rights modelling, sponsorship and licensing, His client base has included rights holders (FIFA, UEFA, The Premier League, The EFL, numerous Premier League and Serie A clubs, Rugby World Cup, British & Irish Lions, Six Nations Rugby, The ICC, Cricket West Indies, The ITF and UK Athletics) and brands (adidas, Aegon, Aviva, Carlsberg, Gillette, Nationwide, Nike and npower).  Andy lectures on commercial sports law at various trade events and universities, and contributes regularly to industry and mainstream media.
Rob Jones, Associate Director
Rob trained at the international law firm Squire Patton Boggs in the Sports and Entertainment group. He has advised a wide range of clients in the sports, media and entertainment sectors, from start-ups to rights holders of major international events, on a range of corporate and commercial matters including event hosting terms; event operations; venue hire; commercial structures; sponsorship and IP protection and distribution. Rob’ has worked on the inaugural 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships; the host procurement process for the European Professional Club Rugby finals; the Glasgow 2019 European Indoor Athletics Championships; the Athletics World Cup London 2018, and Spartan. Rob also has in-house experience at The Walt Disney Company and Sport England.
Georgia Frisby, Paralegal
Georgia has worked in commercial and talent acquisition roles at SportQuake and W Series. She combines her experience in the sports industry with her legal studies to support TSC and TSC Legal across sports law matters, and is aiming to complete the SQE route to qualification to become a specialist sports and entertainment lawyer.
David Becker, Senior Legal Consultant
David is an international sports lawyer, having worked at Freshfields, Townleys, and then Collyer Bristow law firms. David was senior counsel for the International Cricket Council (ICC) in Dubai in 2007 and also completed the General Management Programme at Harvard Business School in Boston. In 2012 he joined The Sports Consultancy as Director of Legal and after a sabbatical in 2017 to work on South Africa’s Rugby World Cup bid committee for the 2023 World Cup bid, he resumed to The Sports Consultancy in 2018. David has advised a number of high profile clients in the sports industry during his career, including NIKE, Vodafone, World Rugby, England & Wales Cricket Board, Paralympic World Cup, Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, Cricket South Africa, Rugby Centurions and America’s Cup, as well as a host of leading athletes such as four-time Olympic gold medalist Sir Ben Ainslie, four of golf’s major winners, Olympic swimmer Chad le Clos, Protea’s captain Graeme Smith and former President of the FEI, HRH Princess Haya of Jordan. David has written chapters in the first edition of "Sport: Law and Practice" by Taylor and Lewis and in 2007 published the first book dedicated to the legal aspects of event management, entitled "The Essential Legal Guide to Events". He represented Protea’s captain Faf du Plessis and fast bowler Kagiso Rabada in their high profile appeal cases before the ICC and worked as part of the legal team in the prosecution of the three Pakistan players for spot fixing in 2010 and several South African players for attempted match fixing during the 2016 Ram Slam T20 competition. David is a founding trustee of the international Aids charity Starfish, Beyond Sport and the Lewis Pugh Foundation.
