Volume 1:  Quantifying the Monetary Value of Social Impact

TSC has published its Social Value Positional Paper detailing the new global service in partnership with Dr. Daniel Fujiwara, created to establish an international benchmark for quantifying sports true social value.

To access the paper please click here.

The paper sets out why social value has become a critical priority for the global sports sector. As expectations rise across governments, investors and governing bodies, understanding the full range of societal benefits, both primary and secondary, has become essential to demonstrating sport’s broader contribution to wellbeing, communities and socio-economic development.

TSC’s investment in this work reflects the growing demand for credible, evidence-based evaluation across the sector. As expectations increase, the industry needs a clearer and more consistent approach to articulating the full impact it delivers. This initiative builds on TSC’s long-standing commitment to rigorous analysis, strategic insight and sector leadership.

Developed with Dr Daniel Fujiwara, a global authority in social value and wellbeing economics, the paperintroduces the core principles and analytical structure that will underpin our industry-leading measurement framework. It marks an important step towards equipping organisations with a robust and reliable method for assessing sport’s contribution to society.

Next steps will be to establish the framework’s technical components. These will be informed by early engagement with industry leaders to ensure the model reflects sector priorities and practical challenges. A Sports Social Value Taskforce (SSVT) will guide this work, bringing together representatives from public bodies, international federations, rights holders, brands and investors to test and refine the framework as it evolves.
