Jordans Cereals is the latest supplier announced for both the World Para Athletics Championships and the IAAF World Championships London 2017.

The Bedfordshire-based company will be supplying athletes, coaches, officials and the 10,000-strong workforce, including 5,000 volunteers, with 350,000 cereal bars during the World Para Athletics Championships and the IAAF World Championships London 2017.

Jordans make deliciously chewy Frusli Bars, along with Granola, Muesli and Country Crisp.

Niels de Vos, Championship Director of London 2017 Ltd, said: “Eating healthily is crucial for athletes to ensure they are able to perform well. It is also vital that our workforce is fed well to give them the energy needed to deliver these world class Championships. I am delighted that with Jordans as the national supplier of cereal bars we can include a good, healthy snack as part of the food provided to all involved in the Summer of World Athletics.”

This year will bring together more than 3000 world-class athletes from more than 200 countries, who will compete in 30 sessions across 20 jam-packed and action-fueled days as both the World Para Athletics Championships (14-23 July) and IAAF World Championships London 2017 (04-13 August) are hosted in London this summer.

Vicky Cojeen, Head of Brand at Jordans, said: “We are delighted to be able to supply our Frusli Bars to the Championships this year. We believe that natural foods produced through sustainable farming, together with over 40 years of expertise in baking and blending, mean we can offer our consumers a great tasting, nutritious breakfast every day. We launched the UK’s first Cereal Bar and Granola and will continue to develop new and exciting breakfast options. Joining with events like this helps us to promote an active and healthy lifestyle for our consumers who are increasingly on the go!”
