The Homeless World Cup Foundation is delighted to announce the launch of the official bid process to procure hosts for the 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 editions and also the appointment of The Sports Consultancy, leaders in host city procurement, who will manage the process.

The Homeless World Cup is an annual event delivering an inspirational week-long street football tournament that brings together more than 450 players representing 50+ countries around the world, all of which have faced homelessness and social marginalisation.  The tournament attracts more than 80,000 visitors each year with millions more following the action online. For the host, the event provides a unique opportunity to accelerate the eradication of homelessness and improve the perceptions of local citizens towards homelessness.

Hosting the event provides a fantastic opportunity to position the host to as a leader in initiatives to tackle homelessness and help those who are homeless both domestically and internationally. The event also provides an opportunity to showcase the very best of a city’s culture to an engaged global audience. Interested host cities are invited to submit an expression of interest by 9th August 2019 using this form.
