The Sports Consultancy is delighted to be sponsoring and attending “Manchester Sportcity: sports-led regeneration”. The latest IAKS conference and venue tours takes place at the Etihad Stadium, the new Co-op Live arena, the City Football Academy and the National Cycling Centre. It runs from Tuesday 22 September-Wednesday 23 September.
Leading industry voices will trace the inspirational sports-led transformation of a derelict part of east Manchester to the astounding sport, leisure and entertainment hub it is now – sharing how the sporting, social and economic benefits have been unlocked.
The Sports Consultancy Associate Dr Daniel Fujiwara, PhD will be delivering a keynote presentation on the socio-economic benefit of sports-led regeneration. Daniel is a world leader in social value measurement, co-author of the UK Treasury Green Book, and author of policy evaluation guidelines in Canada, New Zealand and Australia. Daniel has worked on some of the most high-profile social value and policy evaluations in the world, including Everton FC Hill Dickinson Stadium development.
The event is open to all. The programme blends presentations, venues tours and plenty of informal networking opportunities. If you’re in architecture, consultancy, design, local authorities, construction, venue operations, sport and leisure planning, community sport, university sport provision or events you’ll leave with heaps of insights, lessons, takeaways and new thinking that you can apply to your own work and projects.
Early bird tickets are available until 15 July, starting from EUR 320. So don’t delay! Follow the link below to register.
