The global television audience for the Formula 1 World Championship reached the 600million mark for the first time in 2008 according to the recently released Global Broadcast Report. This rise marks the fourth year on year increase for the sport which according to F1 boss, Bernie Ecclestone, ?paints an overall picture of the rude health of Formula 1′.
In the UK audiences for the sport on ITV were up 7% on 2007 reaching 29 million viewers with the five final races of the season witnessing average live audience figures up by 25%.
