On the back of a highly successful summer of athletics as National water supplier to the IAAF World Athletics Championships London 2017, Strathmore Water has been announced as the national supplier of bottled water for the European Athletics Indoor Championships Glasgow 2019.
Athletes, officials and volunteers at the event will be hydrated by more than 60,000 bottles being supplied by the water brand.
The European Athletics Indoor Championships will take place 1st – 3rd March 2019 in the Emirates Arena in Glasgow, one of the largest indoor sports venues in Europe. The expected number of athletes is 700, with up to 400 coaches & team staff, from over 45 countries. The anticipated number of spectators is 18,000 over the three days and more than 700 accredited media are expected to attend.
In terms of television audience, for Belgrade 2017, 511 hours of competition were broadcast by 28 national European broadcasters and Glasgow 2019 hopes to increase on those figures.
Strathmore Water will be available at the Emirates Arena for athletes, officials, volunteers as well as to purchase for all those attending the events. All the water bottles are recyclable and recycling facilities will be provided.

Strathmore water is bottled at source in the Vale of Strathmore, near Glamis Castle in Scotland and has a long-standing reputation for supplying water to major mass participation events including the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and London 2017 World Athletics Championships.
