The Sports Consultancy (TSC) is delighted to announce that it has strengthened its rights marketing and sponsorship sales portfolio after signing an agreement to secure sponsors and partners for the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
The new deal, revealed today, provides TSC with the global exclusive representation rights for WADA’s corporate partnership programme, which was started in 2022. The programme’s objective is to diversify WADA’s revenue streams and expand its capacity to fulfil its global collaborative mission for doping-free sport. By creating mutually beneficial partnerships with brands, WADA will be able to deliver more in the key areas of education, scientific and social science research and capacity building, which will create a more level playing feel for athletes worldwide.
WADA’s vision, primarily fuelled by funding from the Olympic Movement and international governments, is a world where all athletes can participate in a doping-free environment with integrity, transparency, and excellence. The new partnership programme is a key initiative of WADA’s 2020-2024 Strategic Plan. It offers an invaluable chance for corporate sponsors to engage with a wide-ranging and influential network – from professional and up-and-coming national athletes to respected government officials, key figures in the global sports movement, leading scientists and international educators – all committed to clean sport.
TSC’s collaboration with WADA spans various sponsorship packages and assets, encompassing exposure through WADA’s Annual Symposium, digital and on-ground educational endeavours, and WADA’s successful Play True Day Campaign, which reached an impressive 161 million sports enthusiasts worldwide in April 2023.
Rene Bouchard, Senior Director of Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships at WADA, said: “WADA is pleased to be joining forces with The Sports Consultancy for our corporate partnership program. With TSC’s expertise and approach, along with their strength and breadth of contacts, we are confident that we will be able to engage a limited number of leading organizations as global, continental and national partners. Together, we will craft mutually beneficial partnerships that will help enhance the brand image of our partners through their association with Clean Sport and help us raise the game for athletes worldwide.”
Fraser Houlder, Associate Director at The Sports Consultancy, spoke on the significance of the partnership: “WADA holds a crucial role in upholding the integrity of sports. Its policies and decisions deeply affect a diverse spectrum of athletes and sports organizations, transcending barriers of ethnicity, language, culture, ability, and gender while fostering healthy behaviours. A partnership with WADA offers a unique chance for a brand to be recognized as a ‘guardian of global sport.’ No other rights holder can assert such an extensive global impact.”
